AMSOIL V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid is purpose-built for bikers who prefer a dedicated primary chaincase lubricant. Its balanced formulation delivers consistent clutch feel for confident takeoffs, helping riders avoid killing the engine. It also protects components against wear to help riders get the most out of their bikes. V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid is Warranty Secure™ and will not void your motorcycle's warranty. It is a cost-effective, high-performance alternative to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) fluids.
V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid is formulated with a balanced additive system that provides consistent clutch performance and feel. It helps riders easily find neutral and promotes smooth acceleration, whether in stop-and-go city conditions or when on the highway. Its superior load-holding capacity helps prevent clutch slip for confident takeoffs.
V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid contains a heavy dose of anti-wear additives to protect the gears, chain and compensator bearing from premature wear. Its superior film strength helps protect against shock-loading, promoting reduced wear and longer component life.
In extreme heat, V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid's thermally stable synthetic formulation naturally resists the harmful effects of thermal breakdown. It helps components stay cool and achieve optimum performance and life.
V-Twin Synthetic Primary Fluid's balanced formulation reduces energy lost to drag in cold-temperature riding conditions. It promotes smooth shifts at startup and maximizes energy efficiency.
• Delivers consistent clutch feel for confident takeoffs
• Helps prevent clutch slip

In the first 600 miles on my 2007 Ultra Classic I was bothered by a constantly moving friction point with my clutch. Sometime it would grab. Sometimes it would work just fine. Sometimes it felt like it was slipping. Harely had put their 20W-50 in the primary case at the assembly plant! At the 600 mile service I changed to Amsoil Primary Fluid. Problems solved. I've had perfect clutch action for 58,400 miles. Auto tensioner ware block looks new too. It's pretty simple, there are two things that will kill any V-twin engine, heat and friction. So engine oil is one of the most important things to consider, because it has to eliminate friction and be able to withstand high temperatures without breaking down. I use AMZOIL because it is the best lubricant available, and to help it so it's job, I use Love Jugs cooling fans to keep my engine from ever overheating. Between those two things I can feel confident on a long and trouble free engine in my 2012 FLTRU. I also use AMZOIL transmission oil and Primary oil and now have over 48,000 trouble free miles on my ride.

Prior to setting out with my sons on our annual motorcycle trip, I changed the oils in our Harley Davidson touring bikes, a CVO Ultra, CVO Road King and a Screaming Eagle 103 stage 4 Road King. We used AMSOIL V-Twin Primary, V-Twin Tranny and 20w-50 Synthetic V-Twin engine oils.
We then proceed on a two week, 3500 mile journey through Arizona, Nevada, and California in temperatures ranging from 38 degrees to record breaking heat as high as 118 in Death Valley CA. A few days the temperature never dropped below 100 degrees. Averaging 300 miles a day, the HDs performed perfectly. While others in our group of 14 bikes had a variety of lubricant related problems, our AMSOIL equipped motorcycles had zero issues. Not surprised, I've been using AMSOiL products since the late '70 and have never experienced a lubrication related failure with any of my vehicles or equipment.
